Who am I?
Hi! My name is Deanna. I’m here to support you as you navigate through your emotions—whether it's tears, fears, heartbreak, or profound grief. My role is to help you transform these emotions into empowerment and inner peace.
I often work with individuals who are ready to reconnect with their true selves and step into their purpose. Many of my clients identify as Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), Empaths, Creatives, or Artists—people who feel deeply and seek a safe space to process their experiences.
I understand that each of us experiences the world uniquely. You are welcome to share your perspective, and I will hold space for you with compassion and understanding. Your journey is important, and together we can explore your path toward healing and self-discovery.
Credentials:
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Mount Allison University and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Art and Music Education. My educational foundation is further complemented by a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies (M.IDST) from the University of New Brunswick, where I completed a thesis titled “Connecting Crossmodal Interactions in Visual Music to Create ‘Mindful’ Experiences.” My professional experience as an artist spans over 20 years, during which I’ve always integrated the arts, creativity, and therapeutic practices.
As a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC), I am a graduate of the Counselling Skills Program from the Orca Institute in British Columbia and am an active member of the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) and the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta (ACTA). My approach to counselling is deeply informed by my artistic and spiritual background, allowing me to support clients in a holistic, client-centered manner.
In addition to my counselling training, I have extensive experience in Hypnotherapy. I began my journey in 2017 with training from the National Guild of Hypnotherapists (NGH) and Michael Newton’s Metaphysical and Energy Releasement Hypnosis. I am currently completing the Counselling Hypnotherapy Program at the Orca Institute, where I am refining my skills in indirect hypnotherapy methods based on the teachings of Dr. Milton Hyland Erickson.
